Minnesota Bar Exam Dates

2012: February 28-29;  July 24-25

Bar Exam Format

The exam lasts 2 days.  On day 1, the Multistate Performance Test and six state essay questions are given.  On day 2, the Multistate Bar Exam is administered.   Click here for more information about AmeriBar's Multistate Bar Review Course.

Bar Exam Scoring Information

The MPT counts for 12.5%.  The MBE and state day scores are combined, factoring in the MPT to determine passing score.

Bar Exam MBE Reciprocity

An applicant may be admitted on basis of prior MBE if 1) scored a 145 or higher (scaled), 2) passed entire exam and was admitted in that jurisdiction, 3) meets MPRE score requirements,  and 4) exam was taken in the last two years.

Bar Reciprocity

May waive in if practiced in another jurisdiction for 5 of last 7 years and graduated from ABA accredited law school
